Common questions
I paid for Pro but the app says I'm on Free
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought it with — subscriptions are tied to that account, not to the phone.
If it still doesn't come back, email us with the receipt from Apple or Google and we'll sort it out.
I deleted a photo I wanted to keep
On iPhone: open the Photos app, go to Albums → Recently Deleted. Everything you cleared is there for 30 days and can be restored with one tap.
On Android: check your gallery app's trash or bin — most keep deleted items for around 30 days. If your gallery has no trash, the photo may not be recoverable from the device.
The app says only some photos are visible
That means the photo permission was granted for a selected set of photos rather than the whole library, so SwipeDrop can only work with the ones you picked.
On iPhone: Settings → Apps → SwipeDrop → Photos → Full Access. On Android: Settings → Apps → SwipeDrop → Permissions → Photos and videos → Allow all.
A section still says it's scanning
Duplicates, Similar and Blurry need to analyse the images themselves, which takes longer than reading the rest of your library. On a large library the first pass can take a while.
It runs in the background, so you can start on screenshots, large files or videos in the meantime. Leaving the app open speeds it up.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SwipeDrop → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → SwipeDrop → Cancel.
Cancelling during the 3-day trial means you're never charged. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Compressing a video failed or looks wrong
SwipeDrop always shows you the compressed result before anything is replaced — if it doesn't look right, choose Keep original and nothing changes.
Very long or very high-bitrate videos need a lot of free space to process. If your phone is nearly full, clear some space first and try again.
Questions about how SwipeDrop works before you install are answered on the main FAQ.
